Hello. My name’s Helen Newman and I set up our small business,
Barn Studio Signs, in March 2011. As a fledgling UK business we’re honoured to have Nicola Cunningham take us under her Wood and Willow wing!
We are set in the heart of the stunning Yorkshire Dales and work from our home & old Barn, creating beautiful, hand-cut, hand painted, bespoke wooden signs with a vintage appeal. We use (as far as possible) reclaimed wood to create wonderful and unique personalised signs. Each piece is slightly different and has a rustic appeal. These could enhance your home, hang on your shed, house, or direct your very special wedding guests!
We take pride in our work and much love and care goes into the layering of paint, beautifully applied black lettering using only best quality acrylic paint, (no stencils are ever used!) and then a gentle distressing for that vintage charm. Finishing with a rusty wire hanging and sealed for protection.
You can choose from the selection here but you can also commission your own choice of words as they are made to order. It is this bespoke nature that makes our signs wonderful, unique gifts for you or a loved one to treasure forever.
